Early patients loved to play golf on the Douglas grounds. Here's a shot of the first tee… The Douglas Annual Sports Days celebrated friendly competition with races and hilarious obstacle runs. This photo was taken in 1913.
   
A 1931 shot of Burgess Pavilion's recreation room. Billiards was a big hit with the early male patients. Time for a parade! The Hospital Summer Fairs featured floats, dances, and unlimited homemade lemonade.
   
 
Patients adored the Winter Carnival, and invited from Québec city the famous Bonhomme Carnaval!
